PİTGEM focuses primarily on public policy. The main areas where PİTGEM aims to add value are the processes of policy-making, development, and elaboration, the impact of political and administrative struggles on these processes and the approaches developed to influence the decision-making processes, the dynamics of public policy implementation, political and administrative measures, policy analysis, evaluation and review, studies on the adaptation and development of existing policies, alternative policy implementation and recommendations.

From the moment that public policy emerges from a social problem and is put on the agenda, all processes, such as the development, implementation, evaluation, and restructuring of public policy, are the subject of PİTGEM’s focus. To this end, PİTGEM makes both the criticism and evaluation of existing policies and the provision of constructive input for new proposed solutions its primary goal and principle.
